TOA recognized for 2021 marketing and communication materials & programs

The Town of Ajax has received recognition for four communication and marketing initiatives in 2021 by MarCom Awards.

MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals whose work exceeds a high standard of excellence and serves as a benchmark for the industry.

TOA received recognition for each of the following successful entries:

  • Visual Identity & Brand Guidelines (Platinum Winner) – Recognized for excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness, these guidelines were produced as a reflection of the Town’s identity. They provide a clear path on how to capture the Town’s values, goals and initiatives. Information on the Town’s logos, colour palette, accessibility, Town signage, advertisements, corporate apparel, graphics and promotional products are some areas highlighted in the brand guidelines.
  • TOA Wellness Together Programming (Gold Winner) – Exceeding the high standards of the industry norm, the 2021 program was recognized for its creative communication tactics and design. Produced with the TOA Wellness Working Group Committee, a TOA Wellness Together program was developed to support and improve staffs' mental and physical health by introducing weekly healthy behaviours and activities. The 2021 programming involved weekly Lunch and Learns, live fitness and yoga classes and interactive ways to participate with colleagues.
  • Rotary Park Video (Honorable Mention) – In August 2021, the Town released a video inviting residents to experience the new Rotary Park boardwalk. High-quality transitions and video perspectives, accompanied with intriguing narration and added closed captioning made for an inviting viewing experience. With over 4,000 views, this video was recognized for its exemplary marketing technique for one of the Town’s beautiful, outdoor features.
  • Live with the Mayor 2021 (Honorable Mention) – Recognized for the live event footage, this special event displayed informative graphics, a modern design within the displayed PowerPoint presentation, animated name keys/banners and interactive elements with live Q & A portions.
