From June 15 to September 15, 2026, a stretch of Church Street North, south of Taunton Road, will be closed to traffic to facilitate the safe and efficient construction of Municipal/Regional infrastructure.
In the initial eight weeks of construction, beginning on June 15, 2026, the stage one closure of Church Street North will be in place. The stage one closure will encompass the first 515 meters of Church Street North, just north of Hurst Drive/Caton Lane.
The remaining five weeks of construction will implement the stage two closure of Church Street North. The stage two closure will encompass the remaining 255 meters of Church Street North, ending south of the Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (Cemetery Grounds) southern driveway access.
Traffic control signage will be in place to direct motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to use alternate routes. Local access will be provided through Taunton Road West, Westney Road North and Rossland Road West. During construction, access to local residences within the construction area will be open and maintained. Emergency services have been advised of the closure and proposed construction activity.
