Police Services — Senior Support Unit

In the event of a crime in progress or a life-threatening emergency call 9-1-1.

For non-emergencies call 905-579-1520.

The Senior Support Unit helps victims of elder abuse and provides community education and public awareness on issues concerning seniors such as fraud & scam prevention, safety at home, recognizing elder abuse, and personal financial safety.

Provides information and support to the community on health related issues including: nutrition, mental health, senior support, etc. Callers connect directly to a Public Health Nurse.

Senior Safety Line

Provides a free, confidential 24-hour helpline for seniors to report elder abuse and access support and crisis intervention. Callers connect directly with a live counsellor. Service is available in 200+ languages.
