The Town is excited to announce a summer beer garden pop-up at the Ajax Waterfront, near Paradise Park, for Summer 2026. The pilot, which will offer food and beverage service within a clearly defined area of the park, is anticipated to be open to the public July 1, 2026.
Following a Town-led selection process, Town Brewery has been chosen as the private operator.
More information will be available following a project launch scheduled for the end of May.

Background
Who decided to move forward with this pilot?
- Ajax Council directed staff to explore pilot projects involving alcohol service in public spaces. Staff then conducted a process to select an operator and develop this pilot concept.

Why is there an AGCO sign at the site?
- The sign indicates that an application has been submitted for a liquor sales licence through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). The AGCO requires a public notice period so community members can review the application and submit feedback.
Why does the application show a numbered company name?
- Liquor licences are sometimes issued to a registered numbered company. This is a standard legal business structure used for ownership and licensing purposes.
Can residents provide feedback on the liquor licence?
