The media is invited to join Ajax Council, the Ajax Heritage Advisory Committee and Town staff for the unveiling of TOA’s newest historical plaque, which will commemorate Albert Asa (A.A.) Post, who was one of the most distinguished architects in the history of the Town.

About Albert Asa (A.A.) Post
During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, A.A. Post designed some of the Town’s most impressive buildings including a residence for Dr. Byron Field (479 Kingston Road West), a residence for John Field (497 Kingston Road West), a manse for St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (543 Kingston Road West) and the Gordon House (103 Old Kingston Road), which was built as a hotel for John Cuthbert in 1881. After gaining popularity for his local work, A.A. Post would go on to design a number of impressive institutional and ecclesiastical buildings in Toronto and across Western New York State.
