Outdoor Facility Rentals

From sports fields and baseball diamonds to picnic shelters and large-scale event spaces, Ajax offers a variety of outdoor facilities available for community gatherings, recreational activities, and special events. Explore available spaces and find the perfect location for your next outing, celebration, tournament, or event.

Spaces to Rent

The Ajax Fairgrounds, located at 1955 Audley Rd N, is a purpose-built event space designed to host a variety of events, festivals, and concerts. Accommodating up to 20,000 people, it boasts 2 stage locations, electrical hookup connections for vendors, paved access trails with lighting, a dedicated service entrance, and a 3 Hectares (7 acres) grass event space making it the perfect location to host your next event.
If you are interested in booking an event for 2026, please consult the guide and fill out the Intake Form by January 31, 2026, for equal consideration on the available dates listed below. Any questions can be emailed to fairgrounds@ajax.ca.

Enjoy the outdoors with family and friends at our designated picnic areas equipped with shelters and tables for a delightful experience. Residents and visitors can enjoy these amenities along our waterfront or within the serenity of our conservation areas at the following locations:

  • Rotary Park Waterfront
  • Paulynn Park
  • Greenwood Conservation Area

A valid permit is required for all picnic area reservations.

Greenwood Conservation Area

Greenwood offers you a chance to escape to nature along the banks of Duffin’s Creek. Hiking trails allow you to explore the forest or the steep sided river valley. The cold, clear running creek is a perfect home for rainbow trout and other species of fish. Fishing licences are required.

Greenwood Conservation Area is owned by the Toronto Conservation Authority but is maintained and operated by the Town of Ajax. Bring your family for an afternoon picnic or reserve a picnic site for your company or social club. Picnic shelters, tables and washroom facilities are available.

Other activities available at Greenwood include nature trails, walking paths, play structures, cross country skiing and leash free area.
The park is open for rentals between May and September between the hours of 9am and 6pm. The park closes for the season the last week of September

Paulynn Park

A lovely natural park in with a creek running through it, plus a playground, hiking trails, fishing areas, and picnic shelters.

Rotary Park

The Rotary Park in Ajax is located at the mouth of Duffin’s Creek. It’s a major part of the Waterfront Trail that runs through Ajax. The park is child and senior friendly that is fully accessible and has a splash pad! The park also has a 3,800 sq foot pavilion that has washroom facilities, meeting rooms and a concession stand.

Rotary Park also has a beachfront area, you can fish along the banks of Lake Ontario, or launch a small boat to explore the creek by kayak or canoe.

Enjoy a variety of outdoor sports and recreational activities at our well-maintained sports fields located throughout the Town. Whether you’re organizing a soccer match, cricket game, baseball event, or simply gathering for recreational play, these facilities provide excellent opportunities for residents, teams, and community groups to stay active and enjoy the outdoors.

Rental fees listed below are effective from January 1 to December 31, 2026.

The picnic season for Greenwood Park and Paulynn Park runs from May 16, 2026, to September 27, 2026.

The picnic season for Rotary Park runs from May 16, 2026, to September 13, 2026.

*Rental fees do not include applicable taxes or insurance.

A rental date, time or location may be transferred once per permit to another date, time or location based on availability and at a cost of $12.00 + HST Administrative Fee, with 21 days written notice. Transfers must be booked within a calendar year from the original date booked.

The difference in fees due to the transfer, if any, will either be charged or refunded.
