Join us for a dynamic duo of devilish documentaries! Two shows, one price!
Behind the Castle Doors: The Origins of The Hilarious House of Frightenstein
When the Markowitz brothers pitched their idea for a "pseudo-horror" TV show for kids, they promised to get the King of Horror himself, Vincent Price. Only one problem – they didn’t know him! For absolute PURE NOSTALGIA, step inside the 1970's cult Canadian kids’ show that blended slapstick, satire, and spooky fun into pure TV magic.
Silver Screamers
A group of spirited seniors travel far outside their comfort zones to create a horror film in this documentary that is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and the timeless power of creativity. As they push the boundaries of what they thought possible, they inspire audiences of all ages to embrace the adventure that life has to offer, no matter how old you are.

Once upon a time, we had to wait a whole week to get our cartoon fix, and when we got it, we tended to binge. Join us for this special time when kids and kids-at-heart get to relive the exciting Saturday Morning ritual of non-stop retro cartoons, and multi-colored sugary cereals that used to be a part of every “balanced” breakfast! The cartoon lineup is a mystery, but expect to see monsters, sci-fi, sleuths, superheroes and all kinds of 2D silliness, both faves and obscurities, spanning the ’40s through the ’90s, all punctuated with vintage commercials, PSAs and station IDs for a 3-hour trip down memory lane! So, get ready for an explosion of nostalgia all wrapped up in one candy-coated package. Curated by David Bertrand. Dairy free options available!
Tickets are only $20 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under, and are available at the Ajax and McLean Community Centres, the Audley Recreation Centre, and online. For more information, call 905-231-2787 (ARTS), email us at cfa@ajax.ca, or visit us online at ajax.ca/cfa.
