The Town is excited to unveil a new temporary mural celebrating Ajax’s own, Derek Cornelius, and present the motion approved from the June 16, 2026, Special Council Meeting to the family of Derek Cornelius, recognizing the temporary renaming of Pat Bayly Square to Derek Cornelius Square during the FIFA World Cup™ celebrations. The media is invited to attend the Ajax Fan Zone series event with a photo opportunity for the unveiling and motion presentation with Ajax Council, the Town of Ajax, representatives from Medallion Corporation, the family of Derek Cornelius and fellow fans.
