Marking its seventh year, the DREAMS! Music Awards 2026 presented by Invest Durham returns to celebrate musical excellence across Durham Region and the artists, creators and industry professionals shaping its vibrant music scene.
The evening will feature 14 awards and six live performances, showcasing the top talent, creativity and collaboration that continue to strengthen Durham Region’s growing music ecosystem.
A highlight of this year’s celebration will be the induction of Ajax punk-rock legends Sum 41 into the Durham Region Music Hall of Fame as recipients of the 2026 DREAMS! Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing the band’s extraordinary musical legacy, international success and deep roots in Durham Region. The evening will also recognize the recipient of the Industry Leader Award, Doug Elliott – legendary radio broadcaster, honouring his leadership and contributions that have helped strengthen and elevate the region’s music industry.
