This presentation explores the connection between hearing loss and home safety for older adults. Key slides cover the increased risk of falls related to hearing loss, essential home safety devices, common hazards to watch out for, and practical tips for wearing and maintaining hearing aids. The goal is to empower individuals and caregivers with knowledge and tools to create a safer living environment and enhance quality of life. This presentation will be hosted online via a Zoom platform.

Tai chi walking is a low-impact exercise in mindful movement that helps improve balance and joint stability while strengthening the muscles in the legs, ankles and hips. With practice, it is ideal for injury prevention and fall reduction in older adults. We’ll go through the basics, which are suitable for all fitness levels.

Join registered dietitian Lisa Ireland who will be facilitating an interactive workshop. Lisa will provide a variety of ideas/options for well balanced meals while talking about the importance of each food group. Light lunch will be offered. Please note this is not an allergy free zone.
