On behalf of Ajax Council and residents, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of the service members who lost their lives in the tragedy at CFB Wainwright in Alberta, and wish a full recovery to those injured. As a former service member, I deeply feel this loss and reminded of the courage, commitment and sacrifice of those who serve. My sincere thanks also go to the emergency personnel and first responders providing care and assistance. In recognition of the lives lost and in solidarity with the Canadian Armed Forces and all those affected, I’ve directed that all Town flags be lowered for the week.
