Battle of the Buildings returns for a second year to help power a more sustainable Ajax!

Ajax, with support from Elexicon Energy and Ontario Power Generation (OPG), invites the community to take part in this friendly energy-saving competition

The Town of Ajax is once again challenging residents, staff and community members to help reduce energy use with the return of the Battle of the Buildings competition. Running from September 1 to December 31, 2026, the second annual initiative encourages simple, everyday actions that can make a meaningful impact on energy conservation and greenhouse gas emissions.

Throughout the competition, participating facilities will work toward reducing energy consumption by at least 10% through operational improvements and energy-conscious habits.

At the end of the competition, Town staff will evaluate the results and recognize the winning facility for their contributions to lowering the Town’s emissions.
