The FIFA World Cup™ is taking over Ajax and local businesses are helping to bring it to life!
- Join the community spirit in Ajax and watch Canada’s matches live, starting June 12 at the Ajax Fairgrounds and continuing June 18 and June 24 at Derek Cornelius (Pat Bayly) Square.
- NEW – join fellow fans as Canada takes on South Africa at 3 p.m. on June 28 at Derek Cornelius Square (55 Bayly St. W.)

Ajax Fan Zone, presented by Medallion Corporation – June 12, 2026
Join us on June 12 from 2–7 p.m. at the Ajax Fairgrounds for the official kickoff of the Ajax Fan Zone series, a free community celebration featuring live soccer, local food vendors, family activities, and entertainment.
Watch Canada take on Bosnia & Herzegovina on the big screen alongside fellow fans in a lively outdoor festival atmosphere. Whether you are a passionate soccer supporter or simply looking for a fun summer outing with family and friends, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Transit Information
The Durham Region Transit route servicing the Audley Recreation Centre is Route 216.
Please note:
- The last bus pickup is at 7:36 p.m.
- If you are travelling north toward the Audley Recreation Centre, the destination sign on the bus will display 216C – Audley, as indicated on the transit schedule.

Join Us for More Fan Zone Watch Parties
The Ajax Fan Zone, presented by Medallion Corporation, returns to Derek Cornelius Square (Pat Bayly Square), just minutes from the waterfront, for two more matchday screenings this June.
- On June 18, watch Canada take on Qatar at 6 p.m.
- On June 24 at 3 p.m. watch Canada face Switzerland
- Return on June 28 at 3 p.m. as Canada faces South Africa
Catch the matches on the big screen and join fellow fans in a relaxed outdoor setting in the heart of Ajax, surrounded by restaurants, public spaces, and the energy of the waterfront nearby.

Launching on June 12, the Made in Ajax Passport Program invites residents and visitors to experience the best of Ajax’s local dining scene while celebrating the excitement of the FIFA World Cup™.

Join the Made in Ajax Passport Program
The Town of Ajax is launching the Made in Ajax Passport Program and we are inviting a select group of local restaurants to participate!
This program is designed to showcase Ajax’s diverse food scene during the excitement of FIFA World Cup™, encouraging residents and visitors to explore local restaurants, support local businesses, and engage with the community.
We are currently looking for 15 partners to be featured in the passport program on a first come, first served basis.
How the program works for customers:
- Visit participating Ajax restaurants during the FIFA World Cup™ period
- Enjoy a meal or drink
- Take a photo during their visit
- Post it on Instagram or Facebook
